Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: At least 1-2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Area of Design Specialization: General graphic design, Commercial art, Industrial design, Visual art, Exhibits, Catalogues, Seasonal flyers, Corporate identity, Advertising, Publications, Forms
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; basic knowledge of Video Editing an asset
Type of Technical Illustration: Technical & Commercial
Specific Skills:
• Consult with team leader to establish nature and context of designs and illustrations for reproduction
• Prepare specifications for products
• Create quotes
• Produce final designs or illustrations for print and web
• Answer written and oral inquiries, Prepare marketing reports, briefs, presentations
• Web site content, press releases and social media
• Involve in marketing strategies and programs
• Gather, research and prepare communications material
• Some photography skills
• Job task planning and organizing
